Receiving

Accurately collecting information at the point of receipt is the critical first step in maintaining a productive warehouse environment. Your warehouse management system must be fully capable of providing up-to-the-second information regarding each and every product in your care. This process most certainly begins with receiving. Various checks and balances are built in to ensure that the input of data is accurate and efficient.

The Verus receiving module gives your warehouse personnel the capabilities they need to begin the warehousing and distribution process accurately. User-definable options set at the customer and/or product level will allow you to configure Verus the way you want to use it for receiving. Additional Verus features include the ability to designate which fields will be required for users to input data, set default values for fields according to the way you typically receive, and add preset values particular to your operation (such as specific reason codes for damage or hold items). The Verus receiving module has been designed with RF-directed put-away in mind. Users may input criteria regarding warehouse areas and items for the system to use to determine the best put-away location during the receiving process.
